I was pleasantly surprised by the stunning views from the sun-drenched terrace at Villa Principe Giovanni. It was the perfect spot to relax on the comfortable sun loungers and soak in the beauty of Positano. Plus, the short walk down the hill to great restaurants made dining out convenient. I had a lovely stay and would recommend this hotel.

Hotel's very close to tourist spots like via fornillo. If you want to eat nearby, try Ristorante Mirage, which is situated 200 ft away.

everything created a good atmosphere. if you do n't want to go far from the hotel, try ristorante mediterraneo, which is 800 ft away. a wonderful base for exploring positano.

The room was spacious, well-furnished and had a stunning view of the sea and city. The double shower in the ample and clean bathroom was a highlight. The staff were kind, helpful and provided useful information. The complementary prosecco and champagne glasses on arrival were a thoughtful touch. The air conditioning worked perfectly and the location was convenient.
For us it was ideal.

Beautiful design, very smart interior.
Difficult to get to, hotel known as conco dor, or similar, rather than principe govanni

Proactive And friendly staff, especially the waiters. Great view from balcony! Good ambience! The housekeeper did an excellent job! We are both very experienced travellers and saw the extra mile delivered in the cleanliness of the room!
No privacy on terrace. We had to participate a marriage break up next door for days! No free wifi which should be included and a offered bottle of prosecco we were asked to pay 5 euro for ice (no mini bar fridge)

This hotel truly exceeded my expectations in every way. Firstly, the attention to detail was outstanding. From the well-appointed rooms with spacious balconies and stunning views, to the impeccable cleanliness throughout the hotel, every aspect was carefully thought out. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, ensuring that my stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The location of the hotel, situated down the hill in a beautiful area, provided a peaceful and scenic atmosphere. Additionally, the breakfast provided a good variety of options and was a perfect start to each day.
No room for improvement, everything was perfect.

I recently spent a delightful weekend at this comfortable property. The well-designed rooms perfectly complemented the breathtaking views. The cleanliness and attention to detail were impressive. The friendly host, Hani, made my stay truly special. She went above and beyond, helping us with directions and even meeting us when we got lost. Hani provided excellent recommendations, made reservations, and catered to dietary restrictions. Her exceptional service made our Positano experience unforgettable. The staff's kindness extended beyond our stay when they delivered our forgotten IDs to Rome within hours. Truly amazing people!
Can recommend this hotel.

The view from the hotel and from your rooms private terrace are fabulous! Well worth the extra 10min walk out of the main town centre. The rooms are spacious, very clean and the bathroom has a bath with spa jets. Would defiantly recommend.

The room was large and beautiful with a lovely view from its terrace of Positano and the Mediterranean. The staff of the hotel were friendly and very helpful. We had a lovely dinner at the associated Hotel Conca d'Oro which also has a large fourth-floor terrace with a whirlpool and deck-chairs. The public intra-city bus was an easy way to get closer to the water and save one's legs.
Check-in and breakfast are at the nearby Hotel Conca d'Oro, a climb of more than eighty steps. Of course in Positano, everything is a climb up or down so that was no big surprise. The staff did offer to deliver breakfast to our room if we wished, but we would've missed out on the nice buffet.

Villa Principe Giovanni was a great place to stay. Anywhere in Positano takes an effort to walk to, but the people at Villa Principe Giovanni contacted me before with suggestions on how to get to there. It is actually a villa that is part of the Hotel Conto d’Oro and was a little hard to find the first time, but it has a fantastic view and is ideal for groups. The room was superb, with a stunning view. The breakfast was terrific and made my stay in Positano even better.

Breakfast was good. Porters helped carry bags. Nice view from breakfast area.
Hotel is called something else and was difficult to find. Not close to the main beach or part of town, about 30 minutes and going back, is all uphill. We were not given the room we booked. Hundreds of stairs to walk to and from hotel. Air con not effective. No wifi and had to pay for internet use.

The view from my balcony and general dining area was superb, the food very good, especially Spaghetti Vongole though the desserts pretty humdrum. Decor very Italian which I loved, tiled floors, walls painted blue and cream and white pillars everywhere. Good sized public terraces to sit, relax and enjoy the vista.
